Tips for Designers:
|
Choose either a stock holographic pattern or *create your own custom design
There are many stock patterns to choose from for example most commonly used is Rainbow, Pillars, Lots-o-Dots etc.
A custom design is something you create with Photoshop and is completely exclusive to your product/project.
Create an opaque white ink layer to block out the holographic background in certain areas and/or decrease the amount of holographic background that will show through in other areas.
Two hits of opaque white will completely block the holographic background. Two hits are used for logos, faces and skin.
Varying your amounts of opaque white 10%- 150% will add to the creativity of your design as well.
Create your color printing to allow areas of the holographic background to show through without any ink.
Create your color printing using translucent inks to allow some holographic background to show through or opaque inks to hide the holographic background according to your unique design.
Print each layer out on a clear piece of acetate and lay over the holographic sample sheet to see the effects you have created during your design stages.
